Juno are selling a new vinyl edition of this mostly redundant comp boot from the '80s with new colour combination - most of this stuff has been released since it first appeared, and probably eveyone who wants it has it already, but Phil's sleevenotes are still good, and the version of GIFIL on here (from a radio interview with Cale in '79, sometimes called the 'crunchy bam-bam' version

) is much better than the other iterations.

If I remember correctly "Pale Blue Eyes" from La Cave is significantly better quality on this LP than on any other recording of that show I've heard.

I got mine signed in 92 by Moe n Sterl. They hilariously signed each other's pix
A friend of mine brought a copy of Etc with the screened sleeve when it first appeared back in 79. A mind-blower back then as we never even knew about the existence of those songs. I always assumed the crackle on ISWY was deliberate, to make it sound like an old 78. I was a bit disappointed with the cleaned up version.
I think there was meant to be a third LP in the series: The Velvet Underground Et Al but obv that never materialised.
