Thanks a lot for this!
It sounds exactly like I remember Uptight sounding, although it's been a long time since I took that out. I also seem to remember that 'NYC' had a couple of songs off this that sounded great too.
I Can't Stand It will always be in my top 5 VU performances for heaviness and dedication to that groove beyond all sense of decency.

Thank you very much for you effort, iaredatsun!
I want to share something too. Pale Blue Eyes from La Cave, taken from And So On lp. This version doesn't include the false start, but it is in better quality than Problems In Urban Living CD. In fact, And So On was first released in 1982, even before Live '68 (which was realeased in '83)

Re: Live '68 LP - any chance of a torrent?
Glad to help out. I'm going to AB the two versions now that I have ripped both the Live 68 and Uptight LPS. Got a feeling, like David, that they are pretty similar.
gilbertasm. Thanks for the version of PBEs!

Just did a quick A/B of the Live '68 and Uptight rips I have done. Can't remember what cartridge I had when I made the Uptight rip but I think, that aside, the recording is clearer and the pressing better on Live '68.

We're talking about the same show that was released as Problems In Urban Living, correct?
I have that bootleg in Apple Lossless format. I could post that if anyone's interested, or convert it to FLAC for the iTunes-averse.
I also have it on 2xLP, but I'm not sure a vinyl rip would sound any better than the CD source I got my lossless files from, considering that the original tape quality is not "bootleg grade A" or anything like that.

Sir, I am a bit confused now. It was my underestanding, that rip you've uploaded (http://we.tl/d5imIM9peG) is from Uptight (repressing of Live 68), and not from orginial Live 68 lp. Is this correct?iaredatsun wrote:Just did a quick A/B of the Live '68 and Uptight rips I have done. No. This current rip is from the original Live '68 LP. I now have both LPs and I made the Uptight rips I mentioned some time ago but have never uploaded them.gilbertasm wrote:Sir, I am a bit confused now.
