Simon have tracks 6 & 14 been uploaded yet? I'm still logged into the account but have seen no change in 24hrs.

I need to f*** around a bit with track 6 as it exceeds the max size allowed by Yahoo. I thought track 14 was ok. Can't do either now, maybe over weekend or next week - patience is a virtue.

Once again, thanks Simon for going to the trouble to upload these tracks. You are a legend!

I am not sure if you are familiar with the program HJ-Split? It is quite useful for splitting large files into more manageable component parts (for e-mailing, fitting on floppy disc etc.) The program is also used to recombine the component parts back into their original files. If interested, check it out here - http://www.freebyte.com/hjsplit/

It's only a 168kb download, is free and might save you some hassle!

Thanks CJ - as is often the case HJ-Split doesn't work on a Mac for the spitting side - but there is a fully compatible joining-up software for macs, called ChunkJoiner which looks cool.
I have a bit of a domestic crisis going on at the moment (and 3 evenings in a row at college ahead) so not much chance of seeing the last 2 tracks for a few days at least.

Simon, I hope I'm not being a fussy bastard in requesting it not be split up. Perhaps you could give a deadline for some of the tracks remaining in the e-mail a/c before deleting them to make way for the new ones. What do you think?

I could split it quite naturally as there are lots of stops and starts in the track anyway, it wouldn't affect your enjoyment. The size issue is not the space on the email account, the track exceeds the max size of attachment that you can send to Yahoo.

Cheers simonm, split or cut it - whatever it takes, we can't be too fussy! Can I ask where you got hold of these tapes - are they from the promo version of the Max's reissue?

Message for jimjim - If simon uses HJSplit and you can't rejoin the files, I'll join them and send them on cdr to you if you want. Just get in touch.

To be honest, the only reason I'm not so keen on the split is not the split itself, it's having to d/l some new software to put it back together. I have been burned in the past, virus-wise, by doing that. That's all.

That's fair enough jimjim but I have the latest virus updates and HJSplit from this link is definitely virus free - http://freebyte.swmirror.com/hjsplit.zip
