John Cale 1985-12-09 Errols, Gothenburg (master) [RESEED]
Description
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I found this one about three weeks ago when checking some archived stuff, and as it dropped from the tracker about two and a half years ago, I thought it would be nice to give people who missed it a chance to grab this show.
I have been enjoying it thoroughly. As the original notes from nilssound (thanks so much for sharing your master!) tell, this was at a small venue, and it shows. The recording has some limitations as partial channel dropouts, but it is nice indeed. And everyone fell at ease. When about to play Heartbreak Hotel, Cale asks for a bottle of wine so that Ollie can do something he usually isn't able to at larger venues. Halsall gets all excited, Cale tells him to calm down, and he starts all over again. I wish we had a video of those moments so that we could see John staring at Oll!
I haven't changed any of the files. A couple of track transitions are a bit off, but I left it like that so that anyone who wants to help seeding can do so. Enjoy!

This is my first live recording with my (then) brand new Walkman.
It is from the legendary "Errols" in Gothenburg. It was a
very small place and I think you can hear that in the recording.
Cale introduced the band at the end of "Hedda Gabler", but I´m not sure
what he is saying. If anyone can tell, please do.
The bandintroduction is on attachment #1.
Tape flip between 203 and 204.
This recording is previously uncirculated.
A very primitive artwork is included in torrent. Any improvement is apprecieted.
A nilssound production

When introducing them, Cale was obviously joking.
