Never really been taken by the later VU, but I'll give this a try, thank you!

Last spring I visited the Dutch RTV archives and found the full recordings of the 1971 Amsterdam show.
It's archived as "PROGRAMMA LOUDON WAINWRIGHT" [1971.Nov.19, VPRO] and includes the full VU show.
After making an appointment everybody can freely listen there to digitized media in their archives [note: not all are digitized, and digitizing is not free]

The full VU show is digitized and can be found at:

https://zoeken.beeldengeluid.nl/program ... 0128552831

Digitale dragers [4x WAV]:

LOUDON_WAINWR-AEN56484DAT.WAV [41:00] - is VU live pt.1:
1.Waiting For The Man / 2.Spare Change / 3.Some Kinda Love / 4.White Light-White Heat / 5.Pretty Tree Climber / 6.What Goes On / 7.Cool It Down / 8.Back On The Farm

LOUDON_WAINWR-AEN56484DV4.WAV [37:14] - is Loudon Wainwright live

LOUDON_WAINWR-AEN56484DGK.WAV [43:08] - is VU live pt.2:
8.Back On The Farm / 9.Oh Sweet Nuthin' / 10.Sister Ray / applause / 11.After Hours

LOUDON_WAINWR-AEN56484DM7.WAV [16:40] - is VU live pt.3:
11.After Hours [Maureen singing] / applause / 12.Dopey Jou / 13.Rock And Roll

I was far from overwhelmed by the show itself, but really enjoyed hearing Maureen singing live After Hours

I visited the RTV Archives "Beel en Geluid" searching for the 1972 interview with Lou Reed [as written down in the "Popsmuk" book]
Popsmuk was a weekly radioshow, running from late 1971 till end of 1972, in which musicians were interviewed and some songs/live recordings played.
I found in announcements that the 1972.Aug.30 Popsmuk show was about Lou Reed.
But in the RTV archives were only some16 Popsmuk shows [of total ca.80], unfortunately not including the one with Lou Reed.

In the "Popsmuk" book are also interviews with Maureen Tucker [1971.Oct.11], John Cale and Nico [both 1972.Feb in Paris], I don't know if any of these were broadcasted in one of the Popsmuk radioshows [let alone if any audio survived anywhere...]

At one point, Arjan (who used to post very regularly on this forum) was going to try and do a matrix mix of the full VPRO show from the archives and the audience recording of the same show. Don't know if he ever got anywhere with that.
