Is there any chance of a photo or two of example pages please? I’m interested in the type of paper they use and the font size. Mainly how do they treat the text?

I ask due to my realisation that their Luc Ferrari book, which i ordered and that arrived yesterday, is designed around full page images with large type body copy on thick glossy coffee-table book paper - with, it feels, little concern for readability. An oversized brick of a book more concerned with visual impact than the simple communication of information.

I hope ‘Linger On’ is not the same.

A couple of photos please?

Hopefully these example images work

It's kinda A4 sized, seen here next to a standard Kindle reader (which is regular paperback size I guess) and pretty thick/heavy

All the text is white characters on black/dark grey paper, which I don't mind, but some may find annoying
All the pics are monochrome too I think

Thank-you for the pics. Very helpful!

Paper looks uncoated which is nice.

I still think I’ll take a trip to the ecstatic peace shop next week to hopefully check a copy in person.

As noted upthread, the shop is NOT THERE any more - I cannot emphasise this enough.

It was sharing a shop space with Zippo Records until very recently. I went there this year, and the Zippo website still says that they are open. But I now see Ecstatic Peace announced the closure of that shop just 2 months ago (25th August) on Instagram. So I accept that what you say is true.

The post above was referring to the original EP pop-up in the Stoke Newington Church Street. They had moved since then, which is why i thought there might be some confusion.

Interesting. I just watched an interview of Julià talking about the book. He explains that it is really the 1986 Feedback (basically based on a long conversation with Sterling), but with a lot of updates done through the years until today. He claims that most of the pics are unseen and come from James Hamilton's archives. For Julià, this book seems to be the end of his obsession with he velvets, as far as publishing written materials is concerned.

I would have liked seen the first presentation of Linger On in May, that took places in Banyoles (where Julià lives). Among other things Lee Ranaldo and Pascale Comelade played original but familiar Velvet inspired music. Some videos are easy to find.

Personally I can't wait to add it to the collection, although in my subjective opinion, some of the initial ideas for covers where preferable.
